Perfect Pumpkin Pie Recipe




Pumpkin pie is a classic fall dessert that is loved by people of all ages. It is perfect for


Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other special occasion. While there are many different pumpkin pie recipes out there, this one is simple to make and produces a 
delicious and creamy pie.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions:

1.     Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

2.     If using a homemade pie crust, prebake it according to your recipe.

3.     In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin pureegranulated sugarbrown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

4.     In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, evaporated milk, and heavy cream.

5.     Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined.

6.     Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

7.     Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center of the pie is set.

8.     Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
  • To prevent the pie from cracking, place a baking sheet on the oven rack below the pie while baking.
  • If the edges of the pie crust start to get too brown, cover them with foil or a pie shield.
  • To serve, top the pie with whipped cream or ice cream.

Variations:

  • For a pumpkin spice latte-inspired pie, add 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin spice seasoning to the filling.
  • For a maple pumpkin pie, add 1/4 cup of maple syrup to the filling.
  • For a chocolate pumpkin pie, add 1/2 cup of melted chocolate chips to the filling.
  • For a nutty pumpkin pie, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the filling.
